After having launched the Tube Cabinet at Salone del Mobile 2016, Maarten Baptist further explores the opportunities of using tubes as base material. In the Tube Table, the base is distinctly recognisable as building material. It turns into furniture by only a minor intervention: three small eye-shaped holes and three lines in the length of the tubes are laser-cut in a 100mm diameter round tube, creating the legs. They are bent outward and affixed with a little welding. The table top is made out of a oak wood or marble with a thickness of 20 mm or a thin sheet of smoke glass. The tables are easy to assemble and are light as a feather. These cleverly designed and solidly strong tables liven up any inside or outside space.
