This modular cabinet employs the best characteristics of its materials and uses each in its purest form: wooden planks and aluminum tubes. The tubes are laser-cut to hold the shelves and function as side standards. Choosing tubes over solid materials is a well-known building trick to create light – but very strong – constructions. The aluminum tubes have been anodized, creating a black surface. This simple structure is paired with wooden planks, which are used for their iconic plank-ness. As such, the cabinet oozes ease and simple charm.
To give the structure strength, sheets of metal create a side- or backdrop and come with the flat pack.
But, do not mistake ease for simplicity: the cuts are finely shaped, lifting this household standard up to instant design classic!
